Apply Gedeo gilding paste, using a brush, to a clean dry surface (wood, plaster, glass, metal, cardboard...). Allow to dry for 15 minutes.
Then put the gold leaf sheet on your object and delicately brush. Use pieces of sheet to cover your object completely.
Polish with a cotton cloth. If tears appear and you can still see the object beneath, repeat the preceding steps.
You can protect your work against metal oxidation with Gedeo varnish. To obtain the deep warm shade of an old fashioned look, apply the ageing patina using a brush.
